Danish Ambassador to India Freddy Svane took to X to express concerns over garbage on a service lane between the Danish and Greek embassies in New Delhi. Following the complaint, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) cleaned up the area promptly.
India and Nepal concluded the first-ever bilateral meeting of their investigation agencies entrusted with combating money laundering on Wednesday. The meeting discussed measures to prevent crime from crossing the two countries’ porous borders. A visiting group from Nepal’s Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DMLI), led by Director General Pushpa Raj Shahi, attended the two-day meeting with India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials.

Cambodia’s Defense Ministry has refuted claims of a permanent Chinese military presence as two warships from China have stayed anchored at the Ream Naval Base for over five months, sparking concerns. Defence Ministry spokesperson General Chhum Socheat told the media that the ships were set to take part in a joint Cambodian-Chinese military exercise later this month and that they were also training Cambodian sailors. The base is undergoing expansion funded by Beijing.
A recent report has shed light on the torture and sexual abuse faced by minor Rohingya girls, as well as women, on the perilous boat journeys they take to Malaysia and Indonesia from Bangladesh and Myanmar. In the latest account, a minor revealed that the abusive captain and crew deliberately capsised the boat after repeatedly raping the women, killing several people on board.
