Germany’s TKMS (Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems) and Spain’s Navantia are reportedly the two top contenders for India’s Project 75 (I). Under this project, the Indian Navy plans to construct six new conventional submarines. As the deal is underway, the German government is also planning to take up a stake in TKMS, the country’s prominent submarine manufacturer.
